Modern Slavery Statement 2024

This statement is made on behalf of Lioncroft Wholesale Limited (“LWL”) and all relevant entities within the Lioncroft Holdings Group, pursuant to section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the commitment, as a registered UK company, to mitigate and prevent the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking occurring within the business operations and supply chains, including policies, due diligence processes and reporting mechanisms.

Business Overview

LWL is a family-owned company registered in England and Wales, with two depots in the West Midlands. The core business is wholesaling supply of a broad range of products to Independent Retailers. Product range comprises grocery, confectionery, alcohol, soft drinks, cleaning products, toiletries and tobacco products.

LWL is a member of Unitas Wholesale Limited which is one of the UK’s largest food and beverage wholesale buying group

Modern Slavery

Modern slavery is a global issue that can occur in many different forms, including but not limited to forced labour, child labour and human trafficking. LWL is committed to ensure that the company and its supply chains are free from modern slavery or human trafficking.

Zero-Tolerance

LWL has a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and as such, the company will not knowingly support or transact or work with any businesses involved in such practices


This policy is applicable to all persons working for LWL in any capacity including all employees, business partners, consultants and contractors.

Human Rights

LWL is committed to protecting and respecting human rights across its operations and supply chains.

Compliance

• Regular reviews, identification and assessments of potential risk areas in the supply chains.

• Mitigate and monitoring risk of issues arising by reviewing procurement processes

• Protect whistleblowers: Employees are encouraged to raise concerns in relation to suspected or identified non-compliance at no risk or detriment to the individuals.

• Training key employees involved in procurement regarding risks and processes in relation to ensuring no slavery or human trafficking exists in our supply chains

• Working closely and transparently with our suppliers to ensure supply chains are not at risk from slavery or human trafficking and engaging with them to make them aware of the company's policies and expectations in this regard.
